Orangeade
This delightfully fresh and sweet drink isn't as popular as it used to be. As a child, I lived off of "orange drink." This has a similar flavor, but isn't full of artificial flavors or colors.
INGREDIENTS 1 cup water 1 1/2 cups orange juice 1/4 cup lemon juice 3/4 cups sugar Water and ice DIRECTIONS Heat the one cup of water in an appropriate container in the microwave for two minutes. Add the sugar to a 2-quart container and pour the warm water over it. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Add your juices, a bit of ice, water to the 2-quart line (approximately 5 cups water). Chill completely before serving. Makes 2 quarts. |
