Happy hump-day, everyone! I hope your evening is treating you well. I just wanted to let you know about a neat e-book I've been putting together over the past few weeks.

You may remember that I was the guest on a Google+ Hangout called Cookbook Cafe TV on January 28th. Well, Cookbook Cafe is an awesome service that enables users to create a digital cookbook that can be read on the Internet as well as on an iPad at absolutely no cost to them. The publishing interface is extremely user-friendly; you basically just copy and paste your recipe backstory, list of ingredients, and directions, include a photo, tag your recipe, and click OK. All you have to do is follow the instructions and you'll have a digital cookbook that you can share with friends, family, and the world. You can let it be downloaded for free, or you can set a price on which you receive 50% of the profit.
I created versions of both of my cookbooks using this platform because I enjoy it so much. I discussed my love of the app and how easy it is to use while I was on the show. If you'd like, you can watch the video to the right, which contains the whole interview. If you can't see the video, click here.

After the interview, I was inspired to put together a free cookbook readers could download to make it easier for them to access my recipes whenever they wanted.
I've been compiling nearly all of the recipes I've published since starting the lizz delicious blog in December 2011. A total of 45 are included in the cookbook, from desserts to soups to various entrees and more. There are even a few from Summertime Sippers and Vegan Glass Jar Goodies in there, too. I decided to call it The Lizz Delicious Cookbook Vol. 1, and I plan on publishing a new volume each year filled with the previous year's recipes!

If you'd like to have my recipes with you in your kitchen at your convenience, downloading this app to your iPad is the best way to go. All you have to do is:
  1. Click here to download the app.
  2. After installing, open the app and search for "Lizz Clements" in the search bar.
  3. Find the button that says FREE and click it.
  4. Wait a few minutes for the book to download.
  5. Find the book in your library in the Cookbook Cafe app.
  6. Enjoy!

If you're a vegan blogger who's interested in publishing through Cookbook Cafe, please don't hesitate to do so! And when you do publish your collection, please let me know. I would love to add more vegan cookbooks to my library!

Thanks for reading!

How about a recipe? Or two?

Hi everyone! You may have seen me mention this a few times via social networking sites but this is the official announcement.

My latest e-book, Vegan Glass Jar Goodies, is available for purchase. It is currently for sale as a printable full-color PDF for just $2.99. It features 10 recipes as well as step by step instructions, tips, and recommendations on making layered gifts in a jar (aka Glass Jar Goodies) in your very own kitchen. And each and every one of the recipes included is vegan.

The idea for this book came from working for my family. My mother, Carolyn, owned a gifts in a jar making company called Glass Jar Goodies. It was based in New Hampshire and and I was one of her busy-busy employees while I lived there. After I finished Summertime Sippers, I chose to return to my proverbial roots and devote my next e-book to my original food-related trade! Seven months later, Vegan Glass Jar Goodies is finally born.

I am currently working on an instructional video and formatting the photos and recipes to be compatible with an iPad app. More details on both of those are to come.

In the meantime, I have posted three recipes from the book here on my website. And I'll be giving three readers a copy of the PDF book as a giveaway. But first, the book information!

Vegan Glass Jar Goodies

Sometimes, the best gift a person can give is one that's made at home with love and tenderness in mind. In food blogger Lizz Clements's second book,Vegan Glass Jar Goodies, readers will learn how to make what the author refers to as "Glass Jar Goodies." These layered mixes are packaged in glass mason jars and are decorated with care to make beautiful gifts for any occasion.

Clements was a part of New England's premier gifts in a jar company, Glass Jar Goodies, when her family purchased it in 2002. Under the direction of her mother, Carolyn, she learned how to make delicious gift mixes and has since developed recipes for her own. The best part? Clements's mixes are not only delicious but are also VEGAN.

The Recipes Included Are...

Lentil & Barley Stew
Tea Party In A Jar
Vegan Hot Cocoa Mix
Fairy Lemonade
Hospitality Cookies
 Vegan Split Pea Soup
Christmastime Sugar Cookies
Best-Ever Banana Bread

Happy May 1st, readers! Today is a very important day for me as it marks the publication of my first cookbook! I have been tinkering around with Summertime Sippers since originally having the idea for a nummy drinks cookbook last summer. When I started lizz delicious in December, I decided to make it a top priority. My self-imposed deadline was May 1st, and I actually managed to complete the book on time. Woo hoo! It's one small step toward my dream of sharing good food with the world full-time, but it really is an accomplishment for me!
Summertime Sippers is a collection of 15 delicious recipes perfect for parties and hot summer days. It is available in two formats; a full-color PDF version costs just $2.99. A PDF file can be read on most e-readers including NOOK, Kindle, and iPad. A full-color print version is also available for $6.99 through Amazon and this website. Click on the animated widget above for three free recipes!
